Reducing energy usage and saving money is on everyone’s mind these days. If you’re considering energy efficient improvements for your home, consider a NYSERDA loan through the New York Energy Smart Loan Fund Program. Ulster Savings Bank is an approved lender for this type of financing.

The New York Energy Smart Loan Fund Program is a simple, low-cost way to finance energy efficient projects. With this type of financing, you could qualify for a loan at an interest rate that is up to 4% less than our current home equity interest rate, with a floor interest rate of 3%.

Interest Rate reductions are offered for loan terms up to 10 years for energy efficiency loan amounts up to $20,000. This applies to 1-4 family owner occupied homes. Improvements must be installed by a Building Performance Institute accredited contractor, with the exception of loans for the purchase of Energy Star Appliances.
